Star of China white tea is prized for its fragrant aroma and mellow, pleasant taste. The tea factories of Fuding (known as the centre of hand-made tea) began manufacturing Star of China tea in the late 1400's. The buds from which our Star of China is made come from the Rui Yun Tea Base, one of the finest gardens in the region. The damp large leaves are steamed and hand-stitched into the distinctive 5-pointed star shape. In the late 1600's, the Star of China was selected as a royal tribute from Fuding to the Manchu rulers at the time.

Hot Tea:
- Boil water and let cool to 180F/80C
- Steep for 3 minutes (longer=stronger)
- Use approx. 3-4 stars per cup
- To re-infuse use higher temperature/less time

Iced Tea:
- Pour 1 1/4 cups boiled water on 15-20 stars
- Steep for 5 minutes
- Pour into pitcher while straining leaves.
- For a quart of tea add ice & top w/cold water
- Garnish and sweeten to taste
